Injured Son Heung-min Named in South Korea’s Squad for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

An important update from South Korea football selection committee came today regarding inclusion in the squad the forward player Son Heung-min for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 event. This development happened because of South Korea’s captain and talisman developed a fracture around his left eye during in a Champions League match against Tottenham. He had to undergo surgery last week. But whether Son Heung-min for will play after his suffering from serious facial injury remains unclear.

Notably, South Korea will face Uruguay on November 24.

It has been reported earlier this week that Son posted a message on social media that “I can’t wait to represent our beautiful country, see you soon”. He has scored 35 goals in 106 international matches.

South Korea will also play Ghana and Portugal in Group H.
