Fahad Al Kubaisi, the local Qatari singer, also performed at the opening ceremony. BTS Jungbook presented his program along with his band members excellently well.

The opening ceremony was to be held on November 21 as per the original schedule but was shifted ahead along with the first game between Qatar and Ecuador to retain the tradition of having the hosts or reigning champions play in the very first/opening game.

The attendees will include foreign government officials, VVIPs, and celebrities from different fields in the first World Cup being organized in the Arab world and with the opening ceremony opening up at the picturesque Bedouin-tent-inspired Al Bayt Stadium situated in Al Khor, which is about 50 km (31 miles) from Doha. The organizers said that the event would revolve around themes of “humanity, respect, and inclusion.” They are hopeful that with the start of the football tournament all the controversies will be quelled that have overshadowed preparations for the tournament since Qatar was announced as host country after a shocking FIFA vote in the year 2010.
